A key property of Terahertz quantum electromagnetism is the optical conductivity of materials, which describes the electric current-electric field (J-E) relation and determines the dispersion relation of plasmons. Recent studies show that unique plasmons from Fermi-surface nesting materials are active at the Terahertz photon energy scale, providing a new mechanism for Terahertz wave generation. The computational study of borophene sandwiched in a p-n junction reveals the possibility of an asymmetric tilted Dirac cone. This abrupt change in velocity results in high intraband nonlinear optical conductivity. Superconducting Josephson junctions exhibit a special J-E relation advantageous for Terahertz sources. Additionally, we developed software on a coherent Ising machine for the inverse design of the dielectric function of composite materials. We verified its correctness in the 2-18 GHz region by using ball-milled and mixed composite materials.
个人简介:
李舟,分别在南京大学,北京大学和加拿大阿尔伯塔大学物理系获得本科,硕士和博士学位。曾经主持加拿大政府Alberta Ingenuity科研项目和日本政府JSPS科研项目,获得加拿大Andrew Steward奖章和国家优秀自费留学生奖。先后在加拿大McMaster University,美国Louisiana state university,日本理化学研究所,美国普渡大学等机构从事研究工作,2014年在凝聚态物理领域著名国际会议APS March Meeting做36分钟邀请报告。目前在广东大湾区空天信息研究院从事太赫兹量子电磁学和材料计算相关研究工作。
