The School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering (SPOE) at Guangdong University of Technology comprises four departments: Applied Physics, Electronic Science and Technology, Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, and Quantum Information Science. SPOE has evolved into a multidisciplinary educational and research institution, excelling in basic research in theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, optical physics, acoustics, and engineering applications. The school operates 12 state-of-the-art laboratories, 8 specialized research centers, and a robust technical support system. SPOE is strategically focused on expanding its research foundations and globalizing its faculty. Job Descriptions and Qualifications

1. Full Professors and Chair Professors

  • Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science

    • A proven leadership role as a Principal Investigator or significant contributor to high-impact research with notable achievements

2. Tenure-Track Associate Professors (Class A)

  • Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science

    • Experience as an independent investigator or significant contributor to impactful research with exceptional results (previous assistant professor experience is not required)

3. Tenure-Track Assistant Professors (Class B)

  • Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science

    • A record of contributions to high-quality research with credible achievements

4. Postdoctoral Researchers

  • Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science

    • Demonstrated potential to contribute significantly to advanced research with a solid record of achievements
