Scientific research of the school is currently divided into five research teams (luminescent materials team, Optoelectronic technology team, RF technology and devices team, Electronic information materials and energy devices team, and Computational physics team), and the research fields involve luminescent/optoelectronic/Electronic information materials and devices, RF technology and devices, et al. In nearly years, more than 100 patents were applied for, and nearly 100 SCI and EI papers were published. More than 60 scientific research projects of the state, provinces and cities have been undertaken. The school also has some classic science laboratories such as Photoelectric Materials and Devices, Radio Frequency Communication Technology, and provincial experimental teaching demonstration center of photoelectric technology, et al.
